Donna Hansen, Division B Chief Prosecutor
As Chief of Division B, Donna supervises the prosecutors assigned to Special Victims, Internet Crimes Against Children & Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Public Integrity.
Donna graduated from the University of Houston and Regent University School of Law. Donna began her legal career as a prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, where she practiced for approximately ten years before joining the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in 2016.
During her time with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Donna has served as the Felony Division Chief, Chief Prosecutor of the 9th District Court, and the Chief Prosecutor over Internet Crimes Against Children.
She is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
The Special Victims Division consists of the following sections: Special Victims, Domestic Violence, Internet Crimes Against Children, Human Trafficking, Child Exploitation, and Public Integrity. The Prosecutors, Investigators, and support staff assigned to these sections are involved with the investigations of these crimes and handle them all the way through prosecution.
Special Victims
The Special Victims Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office works closely with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to investigate and prosecute crimes involving physical and sexual abuse of children.
Domestic Violence
The Domestic Violence Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office handles Class A Misdemeanor and certain felony Assault cases involving domestic and intimate partner violence based on the specialized needs and concerns in such cases.
I.C.A.C., Human Trafficking, & Child Exploitation
The Internet Crimes Against Children, Human Trafficking, and Child Exploitation Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office works with State, Local, and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies to protect children and apprehend dangerous offenders.
Public Integrity
The Public Integrity Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office evaluate and investigate complaints of criminal misconduct by public servants, including use of force incidents by law enforcement.
